GETTING TO KNOW LORI

I am Lori Drinkwater of Fresh Look Design, an animal lover who also enjoys traveling, margaritas, nachos, gardening and drawing.

My career began in administrative work, although I thought I might go into fashion design after high school, eventually I realized my passion was definitely for interior decorating.

I trained as an Interior Decorator and have been in business since 2004 in St. Albert, Alberta and haven’t looked back. I love helping people with expert advice, fresh ideas and creative inspiration to transform their home into something truly special.

“Moving into our new home, we were excited to learn that we had won a four-hour consultation from Fresh Look Design! This was my first time working with an Interior Decorator and it truly was a great experience. Lori was so easy to work with and could put my vision together instantly. Her quick, but efficient design skills really took off and easily used a lot of my own decor for a great effect!”

“I was struggling to arrange my furniture and tie decor together in my main family room. Lori used my existing furniture and rearranged it, added a few small items, and refreshed it to an appealing and practical living space that my whole family has gravitated to spending time in now. She has a great eye and always kept my decor preferences in mind when making suggestions. Lori is a true professional, patient and I highly recommend her for any design services you need.”

FRESH LOOK DESIGN BELIEVES IN GIVING BACK TO THEIR COMMUNITY by volunteering, CREATING CONCEPTS and IMPLEMENTING the designS FOR THE FOLLOWING FUNDRAISERS AND EVENTS:

  • Decorated a Christmas tree so the proceeds would go the St. Albert Food Bank and the St. Albert Salvation Army.

  • Volunteered for several years to help the St. Albert Kinettes sort their donations for their Christmas hampers for the less fortunate.

  • Decorated the whole hall for the Junior League of Edmonton for the “Homes for the Holidays” with a fun penguin concept. Then I worked with volunteers to implement it and had a company sponsor a furniture vignette. The people touring the decorated houses then had a place to look over their programs and enjoy some apple cider before they toured the Christmas houses.

  • Decorated the main floor and outside of a home for the St. Albert Senior Citizen’s Club “Homes for Christmas” to fund their programs.

  • Decorated the hall entrance (which had never been done before), the stage and all of the tables for the Tri-Community Festival of Trees in Stony Plain. Proceeds were used to purchase medical equipment for the Stony Plain Hospital. With the updated concepts they had the best year ever for funding.

  • Worked with Bertha Kennedy Elementary School to source and interview an artist to help develop a concept for two murals in the school for the 25th Anniversary that aligned with the school’s and student’s visions.

Let’s work together!
